Up to 2775 United Miles for Avis Rentals
Just got an email from United finally offering a decent mileage bonus for crediting my Avis rentals to Mileage Plus. For short rentals under 3 days I usually go with 1,000 Virgin Atlantic Miles for the whole rental. For rentals of 3 or more days I typically went with 3,000 US Airways miles using code MUAA044. But now the US Air promo might finally be over and up to 2,775 miles isn’t terrible.
For rentals 2 days or less, it’s not as good as Virgin Atlantic, but United miles are probably more spendable for most of us.
Looks like it’s just targeted at Premier or higher, but it’s possible anyone can get the credit. Risk at your own peril.

this is a helpful post…I’m gonna have to rent some cars this month (something I rarely do), so I’ll see if I can find some good Avis rates!
