30 pts/$ at Shoebuy.com

a close-up of a logo

For those who are lucky enough to have a Chase Sapphire credit card, FrequentMiler has a helpful post on how you can earn 30 Ultimate Reward Points per $ spent at Shoebuy.com.

It’s a little involved, as it requires buying a gift card first through the Ultimate Rewards Shopping Mall, then going through their link again to redeem it (15 pts/$ for the gift card, then $15/$ for the actual purchase). Since coupons or discounts can’t be used, FrequentMiler correctly points out its only worthwhile if you have shoes you already planned to buy.

I would love to take advantage of it, but they’re not currently offering any of my favorite brands or styles at prices I like, so I’ll settle for 6 UR pts/$ at DSW when I decide to buy more of my favorite traveling heels.

I haven’t read through all the terms & conditions yet, but it looks like other retailers may work for “double dipping” through the Ultimate Rewards Shopping Mall as well. YRMV. If you have had success with any of these, please let us know!

  1. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of the Barnes and Noble one working, but sometimes you need to spend a slight amount on a credit card plus the gift card to make the double-dip work.
